Frugal Friday- Cleaners

I am compiling a list of 52 ways to be frugal or save money in 2017. The plan is to post one each week on Friday. Most, if not all, of these tips will be things that we actually do. However, if there is an idea that you want me to share let me know!

#5- Concentrated cleaning solutions

I purchase concentrated cleaning solutions that I mix with water at home. I buy one bottle of solution for about $6 and it makes 12 spray bottles of cleaner! I only need to purchase these concentrates once a year and there are only 4 that I buy: a general cleaner, disinfectant, tub & tile, and a stain remover. So I spend $24 per year on natural cleaners that make the equivalent of 48 spray bottles

Let’s say you use up a bottle of cleaner every 2 months at $2 per bottle x 4 cleaners. That equals $48 per year on cleaners. Not only are the cleaners I use non-caustic and safe they are also cheaper.

Running total of money saved:

Napkins – $18

Dryer Balls – $72

Cleaning Cloths – $84

Diva Cup – $23

Cleaning solutions – $24

Total amount saved = $221
